These terms govern your use of gulfonline.ae. By using the site, creating an account or submitting a listing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who can use the site
You must be at least 18 years old. If you submit a business listing you confirm that the business holds a valid UAE trade licence or freelancer permit, and that you are authorised to act for it.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
Listings
Listing on GulfOnline.ae is free. There is no subscription and no commission.
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must not list a business that does not exist, list a business you have no authority over, submit misleading contact details, stuff keywords into your business name, or create multiple listings for the same business to gain visibility.
We may edit, reject, unpublish or delete any listing at our discretion, including for inaccuracy, duplication, abuse, or activity that is unlawful in the UAE. We are not obliged to publish any listing.
You keep ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the directory. You confirm you have the right to grant this, including for any logo or photograph you upload.
Claiming a listing
Some listings are created from public information before the business joins the site. If a listing is about your business you may claim it. We may ask for evidence such as a trade licence. We decide whether a claim is accepted, and we may reverse a claim we later find to be false.
Reviews
Reviews must reflect a real experience with the business. You must not post a review for a business you own or work for, post a review in exchange for payment or benefit, post reviews to damage a competitor, or post content that is abusive, defamatory or unlawful.
We may remove any review that breaches these rules. We do not adjudicate disputes between reviewers and businesses, and we do not remove a review simply because a business dislikes it.
Things you must not do
You must not scrape, harvest or bulk copy content from the site, use automated systems to access it beyond normal browsing, attempt to breach its security, send spam or unsolicited marketing to businesses listed here, impersonate anyone, or use the site for anything unlawful under UAE law.
Our content
The site design, layout, text we have written, logos and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. Business information supplied by listing owners belongs to them.
No endorsement and no warranty
GulfOnline.ae is a directory. We are not party to any dealing between you and a business listed here.
We do not verify every listing, and inclusion is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a guarantee of quality, licensing, competence or honesty. A verified badge means we have carried out a basic check of the details supplied, and nothing more.
You are responsible for your own due diligence before engaging any business, including checking its trade licence with the relevant authority. The site is provided on an as is basis and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the information on it is accurate or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from reliance on any information on it, from any dealing with a business listed here, or from any unavailability of the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from content you submit or from your breach of these terms.
Links to other sites
Listings and articles may link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices.
Ending your use
You may close your account and remove your listing at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
